First, let's close out last week's Trivia Question: What were the names of the buses?
Each vehicle owned by the Saints had a number, and the last three buses were Bus 7, Bus 8, and Bus 9. Of course, it's really the nicknames we were interested in ...
Jackie Bodzas, who submitted the question, remembered the Cage and the Tart bus.
Here's an edited version of how Priscillia French Lyons remembers the buses: I didn't even know any bus other than ours had a name!!! Ours of course was the TART bus and a great bus it was!!! The only other names I knew were the names my father called them and that was "The g** d*** bus" but I don't think that's the name you're looking for.
My memories of the Tart Bus (also known as the Equipment Bus) include our own version of a health club -- the Tart Memorial Recreation Center (TMRC), complete with on-bus sports and diversions. The Cage was known for, among other things, floods (or so I've heard!). There were also two buses over the years known by the very un-original names of The Girls Bus and The Boys Bus.
Now, back to the reunion!
Jimmy Pic, Darlene Stover Dziowgo, and Tommy Swan paid a visit to Ed Gorman at Post 471 yesterday to start the process for menu selection. Once the choices have been made, we'll share those with you. Darlene has also taken some pictures -- expect to see those in the Saints Photo Gallery.
After their meeting in Iselin, I joined the three of them for lunch (you'll have to wait for tomorrow's Scribblings for details on that one!).
